熊本・阿蘇 干し草刈りで「草小積み」｜動画ニュース News24h

　熊本県の阿蘇地方では冬支度が始まっている。冬場の家畜の飼料となる「干し草刈り」が始まり、阿蘇の風物詩「草小積み」が出来上がっている。



　「干し草刈り」は草を刈って冬場の牛や馬の飼料とする畜産農家の冬支度。牛５頭を飼育している農家では、１メートルほどに伸びたススキなどの野草を手際よく刈り取っていた。



　刈り取った草は、２日ほど天日に干した後積みあげ「草小積み」にして冬場のエサにする。



　草原に「草小積み」が点在する様子は阿蘇の風物詩のひとつだが、最近では畜産農家の減少や大型機械の普及で、見られなくなってきている。
