米政府が「ユネスコから脱退」を発表、ユネスコ側は「遺憾」｜動画ニュース News24h

　トランプ政権が新たな決断です。アメリカ政府は１２日、世界遺産の登録で知られるユネスコ（国連教育科学文化機関）から脱退すると発表しました。　「ユネスコでは、イスラエルへの偏見が長い間見られた。これを終わらせる必要がある」（米国務省 ナウアート報道官）



　アメリカ国務省は声明を発表し、脱退する意向をユネスコ側に伝えたことを明らかにしました。脱退の理由については、組織の抜本的な改革の必要性と、反イスラエル的な姿勢への懸念を反映したものだと説明しています。脱退の時期は２０１８年１２月３１日で、その後はオブザーバーとして貢献するとしています。



　アメリカは、ユネスコ分担金の２２％にあたる年間８０００万ドルを拠出する最大の負担国ですが、２０１１年、ユネスコがパレスチナの加盟を承認したことに反発し、財政支援を凍結していました。アメリカは１９８４年にも「政治的偏向」などを理由にユネスコを脱退し、２００３年に復帰しています。



　「脱退は大変遺憾です。ユネスコには全ての国、特に設立メンバーであり、最も重要な支援者であるアメリカが必要だ」（ユネスコ ボコバ事務局長）



　アメリカの脱退表明に対し、ボコバ事務局長が、「ユネスコにとって損失だ」などど述べたほか、ロシアの外務省も「残念だ」と非難する声明を発表しています。



　一方、ＡＰ通信によりますと、アメリカに続き、イスラエルのネタニヤフ首相もユネスコからの脱退を表明しているということです。

The US State Department announced the statement and revealed to the UNESCO side that it intends to withdraw. Explain that the reason for withdrawal reflects the need for drastic reform of the organization and concern about anti-Israeli attitude. The time of withdrawal is December 31, 2018, after which it is supposed to contribute as an observer.



The United States is the largest burden country contributing an annual contribution of 80 million dollars, equivalent to 22% of the UNESCO contribution, but in 2011, UNESCO faced the financial support by opposing the approval of Palestinian accession. The United States also withdrew from UNESCO for reasons such as "political bias" in 1984, and returned to 2003.

In response to the withdrawal from the United States, Secretary-General Bokoba said, "It is a loss to UNESCO" and other statements that condemn the Russian Foreign Ministry as "disappointing".



According to the Associated Press, on the other hand, following the United States, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also announced its withdrawal from UNESCO.
