　「あのアイデアは、非常にクールビズの参考になった」（東京都・小池百合子知事）



　小池知事と言えば、小泉内閣時代、環境相としてクールビズを進めたことでも知られています。小池知事が「非常に参考になった」とまでいうアイデアとは。



　今月２８日に亡くなった羽田孜元首相。“ミスター政治改革”と言われた羽田さんは“別の改革”にも取り組んでいた。それは“省エネルック”。



　４０年近く前から“省エネルック”を提唱していた日本政府。中でも“半袖スーツ”の普及に努めていた羽田さんは、このスタイルで全国を飛び回り、トレードマークとして定着していった。



　そんな羽田さんが亡くなったことについて、小池知事は、こう述べたのです。



　「あのアイデアというのも非常に、その後のクールビズをつなげる意味で参考になりました」



　２００５年にスタートしたクールビズもはや１２年が経過。私たちの生活に根付いてきました。



　羽田氏は生前、こんなことを述べていました。



　「やっぱり格好ということより、機能的なのよね」
