アメリカのホワイトハウスは８月３１日、トランプ大統領がアメリカ南部を襲ったハリケーンの救援活動に１００万ドル（約１億円）を寄付すると発表した。



　ホワイトハウス・サンダース報道官「大統領は国中で行われている支援の輪に加わりたいと、ポケットマネーで約１億円寄付することを決めた」



　会見ではこの１億円がトランプ大統領個人の負担なのか、それともトランプ大統領が経営してきた会社から出るのか質問が出たが、明確な答えはなかった。また、どの団体に寄付するかもまだ決めていないという。



　トランプ大統領は２日にハリケーンの被災地・テキサス州を再び訪問することにしている。
