菅官房長官は閣議のあとの記者会見で、公務員の定年の引き上げについて具体的な検討を行う連絡会議をことし６月に設置したことを明らかにしました。連絡会議では６５歳までの引き上げを念頭に、具体的な引き上げの時期などの検討を進めることにしています。

この中で菅官房長官は「少子高齢化が進む中、高齢者の就業促進は今後の社会の在り方を考えるうえで極めて重要だ。ことしの経済財政運営と改革の基本方針・骨太方針でも民間企業に継続雇用年齢の引き上げを進めることなどを期待するとともに、公務員の定年の引き上げについて、具体的な検討を進めることが示されている」と述べました。



そして、菅官房長官はことし６月に国家公務員と地方公務員の定年の引き上げについて具体的な検討を行うため、関係省庁による連絡会議を設置したことを明らかにし、「方向性は決まっていないが、さまざまな課題も踏まえながら幅広い検討を行っていきたい」と述べました。



連絡会議では先に自民党が提言した６５歳までの引き上げを念頭に、現在の制度で定年となる６０歳を超えた職員にどのような仕事を担ってもらうのかや、総人件費の抑制策を議論し、具体的に引き上げる時期などについて決定することにしています。
