　麻生副総理が来週予定していた訪米を中止することがわかった。北朝鮮の情勢が緊迫していることが理由で、すでに先月３１日夜、アメリカ側にも通告したという。



　麻生副総理は１０月の日米経済対話を前に来週、アメリカを訪問し、ペンス副大統領と非公式協議を行う予定だった。しかし、関係者によると先月３１日夜、安倍首相から麻生副総理に対し、ミサイル発射が相次ぐなど北朝鮮情勢が緊迫していることから、今回の訪米を見送るよう指示があったという。



　とりわけ９月９日は北朝鮮の建国記念日で、訪米の時期がその直前にあたることや、同じ時期に安倍首相も外遊を予定していることから、この時期に政権のトップ２人が日本を不在にすることは避けたい考え。



　日本政府はアメリカ側にも先月３１日夜に通告し、了承されたという。
